Biography

Oyuntulkhuur Bandi joined TNC Mongolia in January 2023 as a PFP Conservation Planning Strategist, leading the conservation planning work for the “Eternal Mongolia” Project Finance Permanence (PFP) Mongolia project.

Before joining the organization, Oyuntulkhuur Bandi worked as a scientist researcher at the Department of Land Resources Information and Geographical Information of the Land Policy Institute of the MNE from 1993 to 1997. Subsequently, she served as the manager of the Land Cadaster Laboratory of the Department of Land Relations from 1997 to 2002. Since 2003, she has been involved in implementing conservation-related projects for UNDP Mongolia, contributing to planning, reporting, quality assurance, monitoring, co-funding, and overseeing the finance and administrative management of projects.

She has over 15 years of professional experience in environmental and agricultural issues, including natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, land/rangeland management, protected area management and financing, alternative livelihood, sustainable cashmere, and sustainable development, as well as climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Mrs. Oyuntulkhuur Bandi earned her Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering from Land Management University in Moscow, Russia, in 1993. Additionally, she holds a Professional Master's Degree in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation from Enschede, The Netherlands, awarded in 2003.
