Dolgor Byamdaborj is a Natural Climate Solution Officer at The Nature Conservancy Mongolia. She supports the “NCS Prototyping” and the Feasibility project titled ‘A Model for Durable Community-led Grassland Management in Mongolia”. She assists TNC Mongolia in internalizing the NCS approach and refining and implementing TNC Mongolia’s 2030 Goal through her background in soil carbon. In her position, Dolgor maintains close communication with relevant teams in Mongolia, the Asia-Pacific region, and the broader Global TNC network.
Prior to joining The Nature Conservancy, Dolgor worked as a Scientist at the Wildlife Science and Conservation Center of Mongolia. She has also experience in wildlife monitoring and biodiversity monitoring projects. Alongside these working expertises, she enjoys Scientific illustration, a hobby that merges her artistic passion with her scientific background. Leveraging this hobby, she won the first prize of the Artwork contest organized by the Snow leopard Conservancy, acquiring an adoption certificate of a Snow leopard and her cub.
She holds a bachelor’s and M.Sc. degree in Ecology from the National University of Mongolia, with focus on cropland soil respiration and soil carbon. Her journey with The Nature Conservancy began during her bachelor's thesis research, where she participated as a research student in the Eastern Mongolia project, marking the start of her research career.
