Biography

Ankhbayar Enkhbold has been serving as a Protected Areas Network Specialist of the Conservation Project in The Nature Conservancy Mongolia since 2018. His roles involve supporting, ensuring, and advocating to protect ecologically significant land at the state and local levels. 

From 2007 to 2012, Ankhbayar Enkhbold held the position of Senior Engineer in a land planning and cadastre company. Subsequently, between 2013 and 2018, he served as a specialist in Mongolia's water cadastre and as a cadastre specialist for the designated land within the Division of Cadastre on Forest, Water, and Protected Areas at the Ministry of Environment and Tourism.

He was responsible for developing partial general plans for urban planning, conducting topographical mapping, maintaining cadastral registration databases, and leading the development and implementation of mining rehabilitation plans. Additionally, he oversaw the crafting and execution of land use management plans for the designated land, along with creating and monitoring basic environmental information. His expertise extends to providing professional support in the field of ecological damage assessment and the implementation of equivalent conservation measures for biological diversity and nature preservation.

Ankhbayar Enkhbold graduated from the Mongolian University of Science and Technology in 2008 and earned a Master's degree in 2010.
